On April 18th-20th the Rittman Drama Club put on the Spring Play called "Whole Latte Love". The Magical coffee shop in town is in danger of closing. To top it all off, the magical coffees and their effects get switched up and everyone gets the wrong coffee. It was fun watching the effects that the special coffees had on the coffee shop patrons!

The Mobile Dentist will be visiting Rittman Middle/High School on May 21, 2024 during the school day. Congratulations Madi Kilgore for becoming a finalist in the Young Entrepreneurs Institute’s Pitch Challenge! Young Entrepreneur Pitch Challenge help students learn creativity, problem solving, critical thinking, and presentation skills. Pitch Challenge teaches students critical workforce readiness skills and helps develop a mindset for 21st century careers whether or not they become an entrepreneur. RHS Student Elisha Snyder is being awarded the Girl Scouts of the USA Medal of Honor on Thursday, March 21, for saving her mother's life. Rittman Schools have partnered with a non-profit school-based mentorship program called OHuddle. OHuddle works to support our students and educators. OHuddle is looking for Mentors that would be willing to spend time with and mentor a Rittman Student. I wanted to pass on information about a free program that is available to qualifying students. The Pathways to Success Program is funded by Goodwill/United Way/Juvenile Court & Job & Family Services. This program is available to students ages 14-19. The student must qualify for free/reduce meals. Check out this easy to read summary from Akron Children's Hospital as a guideline as to when to keep your kids home from school. Other great suggestions to prevent the spread of germs and viruses are to cover cough and sneeze with a tissue or flexed elbow, wash hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds, or use hand sanitizer. Last but not least, to stay home if you are sick.

Good Samaritans
On August 29th around 3:30 pm after school, student athletes of the Rittman High School Cross Country team were completing their workout.
As Kaleb Labo was finishing his run, he heard a cry for help from a resident in the neighborhood.
Upon investigation, Kaleb found that Mrs. Diann Leatherman had fallen in the driveway of her residence.
After finding her, Kaleb called 911 and flagged down Luke Snyder for additional help.
