Rittman Students Good Samaritans

Good Samaritans

On August 29th around 3:30 pm after school, student athletes of the Rittman High School Cross Country team were completing their workout.
As Kaleb Labo was finishing his run, he heard a cry for help from a resident in the neighborhood.
Upon investigation, Kaleb found that Mrs. Diann Leatherman had fallen in the driveway of her residence.
After finding her, Kaleb called 911 and flagged down Luke Snyder for additional help.
These two student athletes cared for the patient. Kaleb and Luke stayed with her, provided comfort and flagged down the EMS team as they arrived.
The quick action and heartfelt care provided by Kaleb and Luke resulted in the best possible outcome and a successful recovery for Mrs. Leatherman.  She is at home doing well.

These actions clearly underscore why Rittman is a Small Town with a Big Heart!

Therefore, it is with great pride and honor that we recognize the actions of Kaleb Labo and Luke Snyder for their heroic intervention during this emergency.

At Friday night's football game Mayor Robertson and Jim Leatherman, husband of Diann, presented each of them with a City of Rittman Proclamation.
