The 2013-2014 Rittman High School Scholarship Booklet is here.  Hard copies of the booklet will be mailed to every senior’s home over winter break.  The application will be available on January 6th in Mrs. Chipps' office.  Students must sign for the application and once the completed application is turned in they can pick up recommendation forms.  Click here to view the scholarship booklet.

AES Engineers Scholarship - award is $500. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of character as determined by evaluating submitted essays.  Students must submit an essay of between 500 and 1000 words in answer to the following question: When you look back on your life in 30 years, what would it take for you to consider your life successful?  What people, things and accomplishments do you need?  Essays must be submitted to: scholarships @ aesengineers.com.    Deadline:  October 6, 2014

American Association of Drilling Engineers Applachian Chapter 2014-2015 Scholarship - twenty (20) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to freshmen entering college in the fall of 2014. Candidate must meet the following criteria: graduate from high school with a GPA of 3.5 or higher, scored a minimum 27 on the ACT, be enrolled in an accredited college in PA, OH, or WV, be a citizen of the U.S., submit a fully completed & signed scholarship applciation.  Click here for the application. Ella Weiss Educational Fund - provides scholarships to worthy, needy and ambitious students under the age of 23 years, who are residents of Ohio, and who desire a college education at an Ohio educational institution and attends an accredited Ohio college or university which offers a four-year program.  Click the link for an application.     Deadline:  March 2014

The Izaak Walton League of America Scholarship - up to two $600 scholarships will be offered to eligible citizens of Wayne County who would like to further their education in the fields of Natural Resources, Soil & Water Conservation, Forestry, Wildlife Biology, Parks & Recreation and Environmental Sciences.  Scholarships are merit based.  Click here for the application.  Deadline: May 15, 2014

Medina County Bar Association Scholarship -  a $4,000 one time scholarship is available to one high school senior residing in Medina County who writes an outstanding essay on the theme of Law Day 2014.  For more information and an application, click hereDeadline: April 16, 2014

Minority Journalism Scholarship - one scholarship for $1,500 will be awarded.  It is intended for high school seniors planning to major in a field relevant to the industry, particularly journalism, advertising, marketing, or communications at an Ohio college or university during the 2014-2015 academic year. Ohio Association of Career Colleges and Schools Legislative Scholarship - has over 280 scholarships available ranging from $2,000 to $44,000.  These scholarships are only available to Ohio High School graduates of the 2014 academic year.  For more information, click here.       Deadline: April 11, 2014

PeopleSmart Scholarship - Peoplesmart is running an essay contest on the subject of privacy in the 21st century and what it means to the current generation of high school seniors. The contest winner will receive $2,500 and his or her essay will be published on the PeopleSmart website and blog.  For more information, click hereDeadline:  April 30, 2014

The 2014 Victor Gerber Memorial Music Scholarship - Award is $1,000.  Scholarships will be granted to seniors graduating form a Wayne County high sc hool who demonstrate academic achievement, participation in music activities, and leadership, & who will being post-secondary education in the fall of 2014. Applicants must complete the application form, include an essay response, provide a letter of recommendation form a school music teacher or private instructor, & provide an offical transcript.  Incomplete applications will be ranked lower.  Deadline:  March 31, 2014

The William D. Squires Scholarship - is primarily a need-based scholarship.  Applicant's EFC must be less than 8,000. Candidate must already know their career goal, be highly motivated, have good character, show academic promise, and have at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA. 15 scholarships are being offered with a reward of $3,000 per year and is renewable with a value up to $12,000.  Applicants must include their complete FAFSA SAR, a transcript which includes senior year first semester, 2 letters of recommendation, and a single page essay along with their notarized application.  For general information and eligibility requirements/application.   Deadline:  April 5, 2014

Wooster Brush/Dave Rowekamp Scholarship -  a scholarship of up to $2,000 is available.  The scholarship will be awarded to well-peforming high school students in Wayne County who have participated in a Junior Achievement prgram.  Your packet must include a transcript and a recommendation letter from a JA teacher.  For an applicationDeadline:  May 30, 2014
