The 2014-2015 Rittman High School Scholarship Booklet is coming soon. Hard copies of the booklet will be mailed to every senior’s home over winter break. The application will be available on January 6th in Mrs. Chipps' office. Students must sign for the application and once the completed application is turned in they can pick up recommendation forms. AES Engineers Scholarship - award is $500. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of character as determined by evaluating submitted essays. Students must submit an essay of between 500 and 1000 words in answer to the following question: When you look back on your life in 30 years, what would it take for you to consider your life successful? What people, things and accomplishments do you need? Essays must be submitted to: scholarships @ aesengineers.com. Deadline: October 6, 2014
Cavaliers/First Merit Scholarship Program - 10 $2,000 scholarships will be awarded for the 2015-2016 academic year. Graduating high school seniors who intend to pursue a post-high school education interested in applying for this scholarship, please review the rules, requirements, and the application. Deadline: February 13, 2015
East Central Ohio Mensa (ECOM) - one $2,000 scholarship in the local area. Qualified entries from the local area will complete for amounts up to $1,000 regionally and nationally. Consideration is not given to grades, academic program or financial need, Mensa Foundation scholarships are based on essays (up to 550 words) written by applicants. Ohio Assoication of Career Colleges & Schools Legislative Scholarship Program - there are over 220 scholarships available ranging from $2,000 - $44,000. These scholarships are available for Ohio high school graduates of the 2015 academic year. Select the links more information on the program, the scholarship application, & the legislative nomination form. Deadline: April 10, 2015
Ohio Township Association Scholarships - three $1,500 scholarships are being offered. One Academic Achievement Scholarship will be awarded and two Local Government Achievement Scholarships. Applicants are eligible for both, but may only be awarded one scholarship. If applying for both scholarships, materials must be submitted in separate envelopes. Eligibility: student must have at least a B average (cumulative) and attain a 22 ACT or 1000 SAT score. To be eligible for the Local Government Achievement Scholarship, you must be able to demonstrate outstanding citizenship through service and participation in community activites.
