All classes in this department are electives.

 Microsoft Word and Powerpoint semester = ½ credit Grades 9-12                                                   In this course, students will be instructed to use and apply a variety of software programs. Microsoft Office programs Word and Power Point will be reviewed and applied to projects. Students will also explore how to use the Internet more effectively as well as discussing and applying Internet safety and. Students will also be trained on having strong Researching Skills and habits using the available resources on the Internet.
 
Microsoft Publisher and Excel semester = ½ credit Grades 9-12                                                            In this course, students will be instructed to use and apply a variety of software programs. Microsoft Office programs Publisher and Excel will be reviewed and applied to projects. Additional training and introduction will be made using a variety of Photo Editing software such as Adobe Photoshop and some free options found online.
 
Multimedia semester = ½ credit Grades 10-12 
During this course students will be introduced and trained on video equipment such as: video mixer, sound board, video camera, digital camera, and chromakey (green screen). Students will apply these skills to produce feature presentations for the school. In addition, students will learn proper video recording techniques, story boarding, and use editing programs such as Windows Movie Maker to create movies and Adobe Photoshop to create designs. Some components of the class will involve the creation of the annual yearbook.
 
Digital Photography semester = ½ credit Grades 11-12
Students with a 2.5 Cum. GPA can apply (prior to the course, see guidance) for 3 college credits from Stark 
State.
Students successfully completing this course will acquire a working knowledge of the concepts and composition necessary to create professional vector art. Additionally, students completing the course will obtain a deeper level of logo and illustration design. Knowledge of the concepts and the software taught in this course are necessary for students interested in pursuing careers in Advertising & Graphic Design.
 
Graphic Arts Design semester = ½ credit Grades 11-12
Students with a 2.5 Cum. GPA can apply (prior to the course, see guidance) for 3 college credits from Stark 
State
Prerequisite: Multimedia
This introductory course focuses on the design concepts for making effective artistic and marketing choices of design elements such as typefaces and styles, pictures, white space, etc., as well as various layout concepts. Emphasis is on achieving the objective of the design of business documents, forms, and Web sites. Current Microsoft Office software is applied.
